Who it is for and where it works
Pole decorations work in places that already have the infrastructure in place: streets, market squares, pedestrian precincts and open squares, but also access roads, car parks and the areas around retail premises. They are ordered by local authorities, shopping centre managers, developers and owners of commercial properties.
Their strength comes from repetition. The same design repeated along a run of lamp posts lights the whole street rather than one isolated spot — which is why pole decorations are often the first step in building up a seasonal lighting scheme, and the reference point for everything added later.
Choosing designs to suit the location
Start with the pole itself: a decoration that works on a low park lamppost is rarely the right size for a tall roadside pole. Pole height is the first thing that narrows the choice.
The second decision is the structure type. Flat designs are designed to be viewed from one main direction, along the street, while three-dimensional designs look the same from every side, which makes them a better choice at junctions, roundabouts and open squares, where they are seen from several directions at once.
The third is the motif. It is worth choosing it together with the other decorations planned for the season, so that the run of street lighting, the market square and the standalone decorations tell one story rather than looking like a set of unrelated ideas.
Production and support throughout the season
We manufacture our own decorations, so a catalogue design is usually a starting point rather than a fixed specification — we adjust the scale and proportions to suit the location. If none of our existing designs suits the site, we begin with a new design drawn up for that space.
Around the decoration itself sits everything else the season needs: design and visualisation, documentation, transport, installation and removal, off-season storage and maintenance. We agree what we take on at the enquiry stage — from delivery alone to full support throughout the season.
How to order
An enquiry starts from the page of the design you have chosen: open the item that suits the location, enter the quantity and send it. Everything else goes in the message — any further designs, how many lamp posts the run covers, what heights they are, and the dates you have in mind for the display period.
We reply with a suggested selection and a quotation prepared for that particular stretch of street. Photographs of the lamp posts, or a simple sketch taken from a map, are enough for the conversation to be about the actual space straight away, rather than about design numbers alone.

Frequently asked questions
How are pole decorations connected to the power supply?
The decorations run on a 230 V supply and connect to the lamp post wiring via a set of quick connectors rated IP66. The set is not included as standard: decorations are normally supplied with a free cable end, and the connector set is ordered as a separate item. Our team makes the connection itself, provided the installation is also ordered from us. The electrical box is rated IP44 and the LED rope light IP67.
Is anything left on the lamp post after removal?
The mounting bracket is part of the decoration and comes down with it, and we remove the steel bands and clamps as well. What can stay on the column is the power connection point that the decoration plugs into the following season. Who fits it is agreed for each project: sometimes we do it ourselves, and sometimes the client has it in place already.
Can a pole decoration also be mounted on a building façade?
Yes, in most cases — we adapt pole decorations for mounting on façades. Some three-dimensional designs are the exception, so we confirm this for the specific design. Tell us which wall the decoration is going on and at what height, and we will explain what changes in the fixings.
Can a decoration be customised to our requirements?
Yes — changing the dimensions is routine, and we agree them separately for each order. There is no minimum quantity for bespoke production, so we can make a single piece. The customer’s logo can also be built into the decoration.
When do we need to order decorations for the season?
Production begins in spring, and a standard order should reach us by mid-November at the latest. For a longer run covering several dozen lamp posts, it is better to contact us over the summer; the final timing depends on the scale of the project and how heavily production is booked at the time. Ordering early also means we buy in the components before later price rises.
Who obtains permission to install on street lamps?
Permission from the road or street lighting authority is usually applied for by the client — a request from the authority itself tends to be dealt with more quickly than one from an outside contractor. We can also apply on your behalf if needed; it is best to agree this when the order is placed.
Do the decorations need to be switched on manually?
No — they do not need to be switched on manually. On request, we fit a timer switch that turns the illuminations on and off at set times. Simply mention this in your enquiry, ideally with the hours during which the decorations should be lit.
How are the decorations built to withstand outdoor conditions?
The structures are built for outdoor use and designed to last for many seasons. On large batch orders, structural calculations for an individual item are carried out by an external engineering consultancy.
What happens if a decoration stops working during the season?
Our maintenance team takes the fault on: minor repairs are carried out on site, while larger faults mean the decoration comes back to our workshop. With your report, please include a photo of the damage or the symptom, the name and code of the decoration, and a short description — whether it does not light up at all, lights up only partially, or works erratically. Give us the location as well if we are to collect the decoration from the installation site.
