How a themed display differs from a single decoration
A themed display is designed as a single piece: three-dimensional and flat forms share one motif, one scale and one setting. The elements are not chosen individually — the display itself is the product, and each decoration is part of it.
The result is a space people can walk into, walk around and stand in the middle of for a photo. That changes what the lighting does: instead of being a backdrop to the place, it becomes the reason someone comes after dark and stays a while.
Where themed displays work best
Themed displays need space, and enough distance for the whole composition to be taken in at once. They work best where people walk without rushing: in parks and on green squares, along pedestrianised streets, on market squares and fair grounds, in shopping centre concourses and in the courtyards of cultural venues.
In a park there is no traffic or road infrastructure to work around, which is the main advantage over a street setting. Light decorations can be placed more freely — close to the path, with a way in to the centre of the composition.
Choosing a themed display for a space
The theme matters most. Each themed display tells its own story, so it is worth choosing one that fits the character of the location, links to a nearby event, or picks up on something permanently in the space.
Scale and viewing distance follow from the motif. A display for an open lawn seen from a distance calls for a different choice from one set in a narrow walkway, where people pass within a metre or two of it. Decide early whether visitors are to walk into the themed display or view it from the outside.
That leaves the layout. A display can be grouped tightly in one place, or spread along a walking route so that each element comes into view along the way.
What happens after you choose a themed display
We tailor each themed display to its setting, and its layout on site is set out in design and visualisation. The rest of the season is covered by installation and removal, storage and maintenance. Enquiries for a complete display are sent from its own page.

Frequently asked questions
What scale are the themed displays built to?
Themed displays are modular, so the same arrangement can be built at a smaller or larger scale. The size depends on the space available and on what the client wants to achieve, so we set it for each location individually — in your enquiry, simply tell us how much ground you have.
Can a themed display be extended in later seasons?
Yes. A themed display can be expanded by adding further elements in later seasons, and elements can be bought individually rather than as a complete composition, so the scale of the first year does not determine how the display looks after a few years. Each element works independently and has its own connection to the display’s shared distribution board.
Are all themed displays winter-themed?
No. Themed displays with no winter motif — GARDEN, MEADOW, SWAN LAKE and LUNAPARK, for example — can be supplied as year-round installations that stay in place and stay lit outside the winter season. A year-round version is built exactly the same way as a seasonal one. Just ask us directly, and tell us where the display is to stand for a longer period.
Where is the display stored out of season?
We store the whole themed display in warehouse space charged according to the floor area it occupies. The more elements a display includes, the more space it needs; we do not set a fixed capacity limit and can rent additional space if needed. Inspection of the stored decorations is included in the storage charge, including for a display you have bought; repairs and refurbishment are normally quoted separately.
Do the decorations need to be switched on manually?
No — they do not need to be switched on manually. On request, we fit a timer switch that turns the illuminations on and off at set times. Simply mention this in your enquiry, ideally with the hours during which the decorations should be lit.
How are the decorations built to withstand outdoor conditions?
The structures are built for outdoor use and designed to last for many seasons. On large batch orders, structural calculations for an individual item are carried out by an external engineering consultancy.
What happens if a decoration stops working during the season?
Our maintenance team takes the fault on: minor repairs are carried out on site, while larger faults mean the decoration comes back to our workshop. With your report, please include a photo of the damage or the symptom, the name and code of the decoration, and a short description — whether it does not light up at all, lights up only partially, or works erratically. Give us the location as well if we are to collect the decoration from the installation site.
