Transport

Decorations arrive on the installation date, in a vehicle matched to the size of the order and at a time the site can accommodate.

Introduction

Delivery as part of the project

We plan the departure from our production hall around the installation date, which sets the day the decorations have to be in place. Transport is part of the project for us, planned alongside production and the arrival of our installation team on site.

Most deliveries are handled by external haulage firms, and in those cases the carrier holds the insurance policy; less often, decorations travel in our own van. Long cable and façade decorations are usually transported in sections, which makes them easier to move, install and store, although not every design can be split up.

Who unloads the delivery depends on what the order covers. Where we are only handling transport, unloading is arranged by the customer; if the same visit includes installation, our own team unloads the decorations. Delivery times are sometimes set by the site — at shopping centres that remain open to the public, deliveries often take place at night.

After the season the process runs in reverse: once taken down, the decorations are brought back from site to our store, provided this was agreed before removal.

How it works

From our warehouse to your site

  1. 1

    What, where and when

The installation date sets the day the decorations leave the warehouse, and the list of items with their dimensions tells us how large the load will be. The last piece of information we need is the delivery address.

  2. 2

Vehicle matched to the size of the load

The size of the load decides the vehicle: a van is enough for a few items, while a large project needs a lorry. We usually book the transport with haulage firms that also handle deliveries abroad.

  3. 3

Site access, delivery window and handover

We schedule delivery around the hours when a site accepts deliveries — at shopping centres that remain open to the public, this often means overnight. On arrival, the decorations are taken over either by our own installation team or by the client, depending on the scope of the order. Where installation is included, the decorations are usually up the same day they leave our warehouse.

  4. 4

    Return transport after the season

When the decorations come back into storage after the display period, we plan the return journey exactly as we plan the delivery: a vehicle matched to the size of the load, a haulier booked by us, and a date set by the removal day.

Who we work for

When delivery needs planning

Transport is usually ordered together with the decorations or with installation — it comes up whenever we are making the pieces ourselves, or when they come back from a display to our warehouse. It matters most with large decorations, with arrangements spread across several locations, and at sites that only admit deliveries within set hours. The same applies when you buy, rent or store with us: we set out the journeys needed in the proposal, and installation appears as a separate line.

What to tell us when enquiring about delivery

Send us the delivery address, the planned installation date and a list of items with their dimensions. The dimensions determine the size of vehicle we send, and the scope of the order determines who unloads the decorations.
