Wider than they are tall

The proportions here work the other way round from the rest of the group: every design is wider than it is tall, usually by roughly a factor of two. These pieces therefore need no height and no clearance above them, only a clear strip of ground: along an avenue, at the edge of a square, or on a lawn beside a footpath.

The vehicle and its passenger

These designs are rarely just the vehicle. The range includes sleighs with reindeer, a carriage with horses, a team with the Snow Queen, a sleigh with Santa Claus, and a princess with a bear or with birds — the passenger is part of the structure and sets the theme. Some of these passengers also work in their own right as separate figures: the standing version of Santa Claus can be found under Christmas characters.
